We are a financial planning company, providing independent financial planning and advice. The company was launched in March 2009 by Owner, and Independent Financial Adviser (or Planner as she prefers), Lisa Footes. Offering a personalised and holistic financial planning service to individuals, we help our clients gain clarity on where they are and help them plan towards their future lifestyle goals.

We reached our 10-year anniversary in March 2019, and have gathered a long list of awards along the way.

We are a small team of female professionals on hand to provide an efficient and professional service with your best interests at the heart of everything we do.

We offer completely independent advice which means we have total flexibility to select a suitable solution for you from the whole of the market place, as opposed to a Restricted (Tied Whole of Market) advice firm, which will have a limited range of investment solutions to choose from.

Footes Financial Planning Ltd is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The FCA regulates financial services in the UK and you can check our authorisation and permitted activities on the Financial Services Register by visiting the FCA’s website www.fca.org.uk/firms/systems-reporting/register. Our Financial Services Register number is 692441.

In our experience, individuals who have never worked with an Adviser before have an expectation that by engaging with a Financial Adviser means they will be able to gain unrealistic levels of growth on their investment plans.

Unfortunately, whilst we will always recommend an investment strategy that is best suited to you, we do not have the power to control World markets or guarantee any level of returns.

We will, of course, implement and review any strategy (where you have taken up an ongoing service) to ensure this remains suitable for you, but no Adviser, Fund Manager, Stock Broker can guarantee future returns – this is just not possible.

By setting up investments, you need to accept that there is a risk to the initial amount you invest and the values will fluctuate. Unlike cash, stock market-based investments are not guaranteed and fall in value as well as rise, therefore money invested should be set aside over the longer-term and we believe should form part of lifetime planning.

However, if you take up an ongoing service, we will help to ensure you are on track along with ensuring you are utilising any tax-efficient allowances where available.

Whilst we are a professional advisory firm, we are very approachable, and client focussed. Your best interests are at the heart of everything we do.

We offer an initial consultation without charge or obligation to you, which is usually held at our offices in Longbridge, South Birmingham. This initial meeting not only provides us with the opportunity to understand more about your requirements, your concerns and any plans for the future, but also helps us to determine whether we are a suitable match to work together and how best we can help you.

Our fees will vary depending on the type of work you ask us to carry out. We may charge on a percentage of the amount you invest, on a set ‘project fee’ or on an hourly rate basis.  You have the option to pay for advice either from your investments or invoiced to you directly.

We will always provide you with an indication of cost before carrying out any work on your behalf, and nothing is charged without your prior agreement.

Following an initial consultation, if advice is taken up and you engage in an ongoing service with us, you can choose to continue to meet either at our offices or your home or workplace if more convenient for you.

We have excellent motorway links, with both the M42 and M5 being nearby. We are also a five minute walk away from Longbridge train station, so we are easily accessible.

On booking an initial consultation or meeting with us, we will reserve a car park space for you if required. This will be located in the Visitors bay of the car park, which you will find directly outside of our office (1 Devon Way).
We have disabled car park spaces at the very front of our offices and all private meeting rooms are located on the ground floor allowing easy access.

Should anything else be required, we will be happy to accommodate wherever possible.

We can also offer home visits if this is preferred.
